Saving 106 1/2 East Clay Street was a cooperative effort between the City of Richmond, the Alliance, and local private developers Three Strands Management.  Please join us in celebrating this successful collaboration and the resurgent vitality of East Clay Street. Three Strands Management principals and owners Cynthia and Gray Oliver will discuss their renovation story. Special guest Jim Hill, Planner III with the City of Richmond Department of Planning & Development Review, will discuss the city's Spot Blight Abatement program.

The Alliance to Conserve Old Richmond Neighborhoods is offering another free workshop to give you the financial facts for a successful renovation:  Option Property

* Renovation Lending Programs
* How to Qualify for a Mortgage

Additional topics will cover the basics of loan programs, tax benefits, market equity, credit, cash required, cash sources, and more.  Learn the benefits of renovation lending, buying a home in disrepair, and how to use unique loan programs to fix it up. 
This workshop is free and open to the public.

"Introduction to the Classical Language of Architecture"

Join architectural historian Calder Loth, former senior historian at the VA Department of Historic Resources and author of The Virginia Landmarks Register for a four-part architectural history series. Each lecture will be held at 626 East Broad Street from 7-8 pm.  Parking is available on the street and in the garage at 7th and E.
